Research Internship
The LifeSci NYC Internship Program is the City of New York's innovative, paid internship program designed to develop the city's next generation of life sciences leaders. Recognizing the critical need to attract and retain qualified talent for New York City’s growing life sciences industry, which is projected to create 40,000 jobs through a $1 billion investment, the program prepares a diverse range of New York City students for careers in this sector. It provides high-quality internships for both undergraduate and graduate students, complemented by curriculum and training support that hones both scientific "hard skills" and essential "soft skills" for professional and personal development.

Application

Deadline:

Criteria: Applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA (applicants with under 3.0 GPA can apply with an exemption request and written explanation). Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants must be US citizens, US permanent residents (Green Card holders), DACA participants, TPS holders, or hold visas that allow completion of the internship without sponsorship (F-1 Visa holders may be eligible with CPT/OPT authorizations, but STEM OPT Extension participants are NOT eligible). Applicants must have a Social Security Number (SSN) to work. Applicants must commit to the specific part-time or full-time schedule, work requirements, and attend all scheduled seminars, events, and activities. High school students are not eligible.

Costs & Contact

Stipend: Paid at least $16.50/hour, most pay $18/hour or more.
