The CUNY Office of Undergraduate Research (OUGR) maintains a comprehensive list of external research opportunities for students. Criteria: Applicants must be documented U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or permanent residents (I-551). They must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited public or private college or university in the United States or its territories, as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, and applicants must be in good academic standing. Candidates must have completed at least two semesters and have at least one semester remaining of their undergraduate education by the start of the summer program. The program is not designed for students pursuing professional training for careers in law, business administration, clinical medicine, or allied health professions. Some specific research sites may have additional requirements such as previous research experience, specific major-related coursework (e.g., Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry), or specific academic level (e.g., "rising seniors only").
