The Engineering and Imaging Summer Program (EISP) at Memorial Sloan Kettering and the Gerstner School of Biomedical Sciences offers a summer research experience for undergraduate rising juniors and seniors. This program targets students interested in engineering, molecular imaging, and biomedicine, providing them with an opportunity to work in Memorial Sloan Kettering laboratories. Participants will engage in developing new technologies and techniques to address fundamental problems in biology, aiming to better understand, diagnose, and treat cancer. Students will adapt their skills to biomedically-focused research questions, interact with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, attend scientific presentations and professional development workshops, and present at a summer research symposium. Accepted students receive a stipend of $6,500 and housing accommodations. Eligible applicants include domestic and international undergraduate sophomores and juniors majoring in engineering, physical sciences, computational biology, biology, chemistry, or related fields, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, some advanced college-level science courses, and previous research experience.
